Installation guide

A roof is only as good as its installation. Share these with your fabricator, or ask us for an installation partner near you.

  1. Paint supporting tubes, trusses, angles and channels before fixing sheets (zinc-coated supports excepted).

  2. Use self-drilling screws whose rubber washers are compatible with roofing and walling accessories.

  3. Cut sheets on the ground, away from other material, so hot particles can't damage the finish.

  4. Cut with nibblers or shears only, then apply paint or zinc spray to the cut edge.

  5. Use only superior-quality accessories to avoid rusting.

  6. Fix fasteners on the crest for roofs; crest or valley for walls.

  7. Seal joints with neutral-cure silicone rubber sealants.
